Exercises with the 4 tarot energies

In this chapter of the tarot course we will see Exercises with the 4 energies of the tarot. How do the different elements and their energy manifest themselves in the cards? Discover how the different energies influence your project or what you want to know. Practical exercises to work with the 4 tarot energies

Next we are going to work with the Minor Arcana and the symbolism of each of the suits. As we well know, each of the suits manifests one of the four essential energies that we associate with the four elements.

In case we do not remember them, the 4 elements and their representation are, fire, gold, earth, sword, air, and water.

For esoteric philosophy, the four elements represent the four elements of nature, the various energies, forces or manifestations, which are the basic principle of the universe, so it is logical that they are also represented in the tarot.

It is worth mentioning that there is a quintessence, which is the soul, the spirit or the occult forces, and it is represented in the major arcana, but for the moment we will not work with it.

Exercise with the 4 tarot energies

  1. To begin this exercise we are going to use only the Minor Arcana.
  2. Then, separate the cards into the four suits, thus creating four piles of cards of each suit. Shuffle each pile separately, while thinking of a project, problem or issue you want to explore.
  3. Draw one card from each pile, so you will have four cards, each of a particular suit representing an energy or element.
  4. Once you have the 4 cards, Observe them, Examine them, write down the cards you have drawn in a notebook.

And each card answers the question below.

  1. The card of Wands representing fire invites us to ask: What energy is driving this issue you have asked about? What is it that started it?
  2. The card of Cups, which represents the energy of water, answers the question: What emotions does it generate in you or in your environment, are they nice feelings?
  3. The Swords card, which represents the energy of air: What can you learn from this situation, what should I learn?
  4. The question for the Gold card, which represents the earth energy: How or in what can this question be materialized? What material, practical, economic or tangible results can it give?

With this exercise you will have the four energies that govern your project, their state and how they influence it.
