The Tau Cross is a particular form of tarot spread that owes its name to the cross of the same name, originating from the Greek letter Tau and often associated with the crucifixion in the ancient world.

The Tau Cross Spread is an easy, intermediate level tarot reading that will allow us to obtain concrete answers to specific questions.
Through this spread, it is possible to understand the current and future state of projects or ideas, the results and difficulties that the querent will experience in the near future. In other words, with this reading you can glimpse both the factors that act in favor and those that may hinder the path, allowing you to outline a possible solution to the situation in question.

How to perform the Tau Cross Spread reading?

For this spread, once all the tarot cards have been shuffled, the question we have prepared is formulated, we will use five cards from the Tarot deck, which should be placed in the shape of the letter T, and arranged in the following order:

Step 1: First place the card in position 1, on the left.
Step 2: Then the card in position 2, well to the right and leaving a space between the two cards.
Step 3: Now we will make the stick of the T, arranging from the center downwards the cards in position 3, 4 and 5, one below the other. It is worth noting that card 3 is in the middle of position 1 and 2.

Reading and interpretation of the Tau Cross Spread:

Once the five cards are arranged in a T-shape, we will begin the reading from left to right, and from top to bottom. Each position represents the following:

  1. Card 1 indicates The Present State: shows the present situation of the querent’s projects or ideas.
  2. Card 2 indicates The Future: It speaks of the general future of the querent with respect to his or her consultation.
  3. Card 3 indicates the Result: Shows the results and situations that the querent will experience in the very near future.
  4. Card 4 indicates the Supports: It tells us about the supports that the querent has.
  5. Card 5 indicates the Obstacles: It shows us what is against the querent.

Clarification: remember that if you need more information about a card, you can draw another card about it and you will be able to clarify the interpretation.
